Wild Bees have been on hiatus whilst we both found our feet... they were on the end of our legs this whole time.. ba bum! So we're back and with lots of exciting projects coming up!
Dan has been busy with his band Cleft. They have just finished their new EP - Recorded, mixed and mastered by Dan and John, and artwork by me, Jess. It's DIY at it's finest folks, go have a listen and then order a limited edition copy!
I have been busy at a lovely Primary School for the past 6 months, but I recently said my farewells to get my head back into film making, and so far so good!
Over the Summer, Wild Bees were commissioned by Manchester Art Gallery to make a promotional film and research tool for students and craft enthusiasts in connection with The First Cut exhibition. This was incredible highlight for us!
A huge thank you to the artists who took part, we loved having a good snoop around your studios and eating your biscuits. It was such an inspiring project and the exhibition is one of the best I've seen in years! The film is being exhibited alongside all of the wonderful work and we are just thrilled to be a part of it.
Another great project will be coming as a result of this, but going to keep that under wraps for now.

Manchester Art Gallery
Jessica here,
We were extremely privileged to be asked to make a film for Manchester Art Gallery to be part of the Pre-Raphaelite Experiment - a year long investigation into what the Pre-Raphaelite paintings mean to Mancunians today.
I worked alongside some lovely artists as part of the month long project Far Far Away: A Summer of Stories for Families.
As always,
Filmed by Jess (and additional footage by some of the galleries handy employees)
and Music by Dan
I'm very excited to be part of this exhibition. I have visited the gallery from a very young age, as did my parents and my grandparents. I think my granddad used to come and see the exhibitions instead of going to school!
This film and other related material will be exhibited at the end of the month until April 2012.
Go have a lookie.
Oh and if you have enough money (£8) go and see the Ford Maddox Brown exhibition, I went to the preview with Miss Lauren Berry, (and even though we missed the free booze,) it was an incredible collection of work!

New Three Trapped Tigers and Nordic Giants Gig
Beeutiful!
Here are the Three Trapped Tiger's videos from Meadowlands Festival.

Quite different edits, but both buzzin!
We went to shoot Nordic Giants last night.
Their set was incredibuzzingly bee-riliant, accompanied by some amazing films and some of the best outfits I have seen on stage,
probably better than that Elton John!
I was quite sad that I didn't know it was a fancy affair or else I would have got my bee costume on.
The footage and the recordings are a treat to the ears and eyes.
We cant wait to share them with you.
Keep your peepers posted,
